I’ve always had a lot of redness all around my mouth, not really big pimples, just lots of acne. I’ve tried so many different products, ProActive, Clean & Clear, Repechage, the list could go on forever. I’m just looking for a at home treatment to help lighten up, or fully get rid of acne. What has worked best for you, and how long did it last?

I’m 22 yrs old and still suffering from acne. I have tried almost everything I can think of and while they might work for a few days to a few weeks the breakouts come back worse and longer then ever. I don’t know what is causing this when I am a healthy person when it come to eating, and drinking a lot of water. I do have high stress levels and that could be an indirect factor. I have tried murad(worked for a while), proactiv(didn’t work at all) and other over the counter products. I have tried natural remedies such as lemon juice, orange peels, egg white masks etc..seem to work a few days but then the acne comes back worse..I have looked up information on tea tree oil and have read that it helps oily skin like I have and helps get rid of the bacteria causing acne which in return will cure acne. I have applied tea tree oil to my face for about 3 nights and left it overnight and each morning my skin has broke out worse with more redness and even big cysts. Could this be the tea tree oil which I read suppost to help? I feel and look awful and have to wait a freakin month to see a dermatologist. I want to try to eliminate most of this by another week as I have an important event coming up. I have been dealing with this for years and don’t know what to do. I prefer natural products but don’t know what else to use. I’m looking for something that helps fix acne in days while it may not cure it I need something that can atleast reduce the redness and get rid of the cysts.

I get acne all over my forehead, part of my chin, and some times on the cheeks.
No blackheads ever.
It’s a little oily, but whenever I wash it or put any acne treatment stuff over top of it it gets really dried out and sometimes burns a bit.
Please suggest an inexpensive routine/treatment that I could get at a pharmacy or the mall.

I’ve tried proactive and it hurt my face beyond repair for a while. It was much too strong.

I am 13, and I think my acne is more or less mediocre-severe. I have tried numerous topical treatments, without results.

So today my doctor perscribed “Tetracycline” for me. He says there are no side effects, but I’m not one to trust doctors all that much. Err, so I’m wondering, what should I expect? Is this going to completely clear up my skin, or just somewhat improve it? Will it get worse before it gets better? ARE there, infact, side effects? What difference will it make if I DO eat it with food/on a full stomach?

I have been battling skin problems for the past 10 years and although my acne isn’t too terrible now, I have lots of clogged pores all over my face, upper arms, and all over my back. I also have some pretty moderate scarring on my lower back and upper arms. On top of that, I get tons of tiny flesh colored bumps all over my upper back and upper arms that won’t stay away no matter how many times I scrub them off.

I have tried bio oil and vitamin E oil for acne scars and have just started using tea tree oil to get rid of what acne I have left. I was looking into buying a bottle of salicylic acid for an at home peel but don’t know what I need to get.

i’ve tried so many acne treatments n they dont really work on me… now im starting to break out on my back and its making me verry irratated -_-!! HELPP! n doctors prescribe acne meds that dont even work either =/
