Acne skin care review – Benzac & PanOxyl
Hi guys! Thanks for watching my vids! Appreciate it heaps! So this video is about my skin and what I use on it to treat my acne. I’m in my room so its really hot, bout 28 degrees and humid. Not everyone has perfect skin and we all need to use something to prevent pimples and breakouts happening. For those who do have perfect skin you are blessed!!! I was one of the unlucky ones. My pimples are deep, last for 2 weeks and are very stubborn. So I like to use Benzac Ac wash which contains 5% Benzoyl peroxide in the morning. It dries up my skin and makes my face feel tight but I just apply Aveeno moisturiser cream on my skin and it goes away. Then at night I like to use the PanOxyl gel which contains 10% benzoyl peroxide (a very strong product!) and just rub it in on my affected areas. Both products have worked really well for me but I still get major breakouts that appear randomly on my face so like Isaid in the video I’m going to visit the dermatologist sometime soon to treat them. I am using panoxyl gel but my acne gets black
@ydnicydni It depends what strength you’re using. They recommend that you start on the 2.5% benzyl peroxide (I use the cream, not the wash), but you can also increase it to 5% or 10% benzyl peroxide if you think you need to. But you need to ease yourself into using it or you’ll end up burning or excessively drying out your skin. Try using the cream (for your face) because you can leave it on overnight and that may be enough for your skin to respond to it

@mrningaili Yeah it is like that. I just apply it a little at a time on the area that has acne. You can pat it on gently.

i have been prescribed panoxyl acnegel 5 and it doesn’t really sting, but there is one problem i have…its just so sticky!
it dries out fast and i cant really spread it around. do i just pat it on?

U must have pretty good make up then coz to me I see no acne and I think your skin looks great!!!!
@melindaINT i’m still using benzac i guess my skin got used to it. i might try panoxyl later in the future. i’m an adult BTW long time sufferer =(
@boredoflife227 Yeah it stung for 3 days everytime i applied it and then my skin got used to it. what are you using now?
i used benzac before. it actually hurts my skin like stings a little do you ever had that problem before?

@neenawwxo hehe thanks!! my skin has gotten better since a month now and the dermatologist appointment is next thursday so I can’t wait til next week. I hope the Panoxyl is working for you. You just have to be patient if you want to see the effects especially with skin

@ydnicydni Yeah they have it in the skin care section. Coles and Woolworths do too now. Their moisturiser is good too, the one with sunscreen. Its about $19.
@ydnicydni oh okay, i’ll try that. do you happen to know if priceline has the aveeno skin brightening scrub?
@ydnicydni Why dont you use Aveeno Skin Brightening Scrub before you apply Benzac on? It makes a difference aswell. I love it. My skin feels more smoother
i use benzac too, it works well… but it doesn’t really get rid of everything…? but so far it is the best product i’ve used so i’ll stick to it until i find something better, lol.
