This soap works. I’ve had oily, combination skin for years, mild acne, and have used everything from Proactiv, to Murad, to regular Neutrogena products, and this is by far the best. And, it’s cheap and lasts forever. As far as sulfur soap goes, this is a pretty straightforward product; the lanolin helps to moisturize while the sulfur does its thing. I’ve used this for two years now and can’t imagine doing without.

My wife has Morgellons Disease. This soap is EXCELLENT for getting rid of the fibers in her skin. She swears by this soap. She had the black fibers in the cuticles of her fingernails, and no matter what she tried to get them out, they continuously kept coming out. Oil, especially, brought them out in droves. Since using this soap for ONLY 3 weeks, these black fibers have lessened, and the soap is also drawing them out of the rest of her skin on her body. These fibers stuck in the skin is VERY PAINFUL. She has gotten SUCH GREAT RELIEF from THIS GRISI BRAND SOAP. At first she couldn’t figure out what exactly was getting the fibers to come out of her skin, but the longer she used this soap, she figured out that is what was helping. So, for Morgellons Disease, this soap is REQUIRED!!! Her hands are starting to look normal again, instead of all swollen, red, torn apart, and full of black specks. The price for shipping IS astronomical, but remember, this prduct IS IMPORTED, from what I understand. Yes, the shipping DOES cost MORE than the product, but . . . given the results, I can live with it. So, Morgy’s patients, get this soap!! One more note: I HAVE USED OTHER SULFUR SOAPS – NONE OF THEM WORKED LIKE THIS GRISI BRAND!!! It has 10% Sulfur in it. NO other bars come close to 10%. This highest I found was 3%. THIS percentage IS important because the higher amount of sulfur in the soap, the better the results.

The only reason this product even gets two stars is because it is a decent sulfur soap. The cost of shipping and handling is beyond ridiculous. $11.95 to ship 1.455 pounds. The USPS Priority Mail Flat rate and Parcel Post rate are both only $4.90. If it truly costs them more to handle the product in their own facility than it costs the USPS to handle it across the country, they need to reevaluate their business.
To make matters worse, they advertise the bars to weigh 3.5 ounces, when they are not at all 3.5 ounces. The boxes in which these bars come are labeled 3.15 oz (90g) and each bar actually weighs 89g including the plastic wrapper. That’s 10.3% less than advertised.
Expanding even further on the pricing absurdity, an attempt to purchase this product (6 bar quantity) from the merchant’s (AlivioVital) own website with Amazon processing yields $10.44 for the product and $13.82 for shipping and handling. I’ve seen some bad “shipping and handling” rip-offs in my time, but this takes the prize.
NOTE: For some reason Amazon is confusing two sellers of this product. The correct seller for this review is AlivioVital and the product page is [...]

The bars are not very big, but they are packaged very nicely, the soap smells better than most sulpher bars, and they appear to be manufactured to a high standard. The quality is very good, and the bars have lasted longer than others I have tried, even though they are not very big.

If there is a zero star, that is what I would give this soap.
I’ve been using sulfur soap for over 30 years now, as recommended by my dermatologist.
I decided to just try this soap and compare it to the other two brands I use.
Never again! It is nasty! Is this stuff imported from Mexico or something and used for cattle to keep the flys off? I mean it is that bad. this is one of the worst reviews I have ever given for any product – sorry if it seems offensive but that is what the soap did to me and I would not recommend it to a worst enemy.
The two brands that I willl stay with are Stieffel and also the one made by SulfurSoap
Hope this helps.
